I like that idea to a point.  This is fantasy baseball and a high daily score could be biased by the number of SPs pitching that day.

I prefer the last week of the regular season, not just the last day (or whatever it may be).

After reading this over here is my take on some of the main points.

World series should be two weeks long and be played out the last two full weeks of the season.

League Championship Series should be one week long and played a week before the world series.

Division Series one week long and played a week before the LCS.

This makes the playoffs 4 weeks long. MLB is implementing a one game playoff but this seems impossible for us to mimic. I don't see a highest daily scoring option in the last regular season week being fair to simulate the one game playoff that MLB will be using.  I also don't think that a 3 or 4 day matchup would work. I see two viable ways of handling adding an extra wildcard team.

1) Add a 5th week to the playoffs before the division series and have the two wildcard teams from each league play a week long matchup.

2) Keep the playoffs the same length at 4 weeks and have the final regular season week matchup determine the winner of the Wildcard.  The 2 wildcard teams in each league would be determined by the final standings and their scores in the final week would be compared and the higher scoring team would advance to the playoffs as the wildcard team.

My vote would be for option #2.  This option seems to mimic the one game playoff the best and also does not affect the current playoff schedule.

I would be in favor of option # 1.  My concern with option # 2 if I am understanding it correctly would be that 1 of the WC teams could have a vastly easier schedule the last week of the season than the other WC team.  I think that the 2 WC teams have to face each other or it defeats the purpose of having the additional WC team.

I vote for #2... fantasy schedules don't matter.  Essentially, the regular season standings would be determined and then the final wee's fantasy points of the two wildcard teams would be compared to determine the team that advances.

I vote we leave it as is...in real life it is one game, which I view as kind of superfluous...No team really benefits, we don't get playoff bonuses etc...so I vote nay on the whole change

  • Jwalkerjr88: Idk if anyone remembers the 2021 class but it was weak on offense outside or the top 10-15. I dont regret the deal just learned and move on. As long as you have assets, you can mold your build how you want. Picks are usually the most valuable asset because most gms want in on a draft.

"Get off my lawn" types wanting to run leagues that were identical to the others. If you want 100 of the same old guys never chatting and no guests on the site. We had how many years of that?
