Champion Edmonton Oilers.
I can't say I'm not surprised that Kings have made it to Round 3 because I am a little shocked after LAK slid out of 1st place in the Pacific Div and kept losing weekly getting shutout several weeks in a row if I recall. Of curse they have the foundation of a great team having won back to back FNHL titles in 2014-15 & 2015-16.
Bruins and Nashville (easily) Either team vs. Nash will be a great 2 week match-up.
Round 3 FNHL Conference Final matchups loaded into Fantrax.I've included vs AND vs because the 0.1pt difference is hot off the press and could still change one way or another with NHL scoring updates overnight.
EASTERN CONFERENCE PREVIEW (3-ATL) VS (1-MET/Presidents' Trophy ) HURRICANES dominated FNHL's regular season leading from start to finish. They reached the Conference Finals with a convincing win ( 142.55 - 121.7) versus 3rd place Metropolitan rivals Rangers lead by the performances of Mikko Rantanen (14.75pts), Wayne Simmonds (12.25pts) and Brandon Montour (11.8pts), Vladimir Sobotka (11pts) and the outstanding goaltending of Sergei "Bob" Bobrovsky's 25.0pts. In Round 1, Canes handed WildCard team Washington Capitals a L with Sean Monahan (8.55pts), Nikolaj Ehlers (8.5pts), Mikko Rantanen (8.3pts) and limited goaltending support from either Bob or Cory Schneider. BRUINS reach the FNHL's Conference Finals with a stunning come from behind victory over the Atlantic Division Champions, Montreal. On the last day, in the last game of the evening, JackDaniel's Boston team rallies to overtake Mordecai's Canadiens by the slimmest of margins, 0.1 points. Boston is however the defending FNHL Champion from 2016-17 so it should be much of a surprise he returns to the Final Four in 2017-18. Bruins' David Pastrnak (13.55pts) and Erik Karlsson (12.25pts) lead Boston through Round 2 with rookie defender Vince Dunn posting a whopping 6.0pts on the final day of the week. Boston eliminated another tough division rival, Detroit RedWings in Round 1 with strong performances from Pastrnak (12.5pts), Kevin Hayes (8.25pts) and Tory Krug (8.55pts). Bruins may get a boost with the possible return of Franchise Player Partrice Bergeron who's been out since Feb 26th.Carolina is a the favourite to move onto the FNHL Finals next week with a likely win versus the defending FNHL Champion Bruins.
