Busy FNHL Owners! WHOA!
« on: April 14, 2018, 02:18:52 PM »
I have to take a moment and say what a great job by the FNHL owners during this 1st FNHL Supplemental Draft ever!

We've had some amazing league-wide activity.

Congratulations to our new owners for helping to step up the level of activity and of course a number of our veteran owners have been helping set the pace as well.

I require from my teams, proper levels of anger, belligerence and some good ol' fashion piss 'n' vinegar.

Trading is the best way to shape the team to your liking here, especially if you don't have many draft picks. With the cap on the rise, I think this years FA class will be especially weak. Certainly nowhere near last year with the expansion draft and all.  Cap issues are playing a factor in the trades by the competitive teams, most of them have had solid ownership for years to shape the team.

Thank you for the acknowledgement PsychoticPondGoons. Means a lot as a new member of this league. I'm more than willing to complete a trade with likeminded teams especially if we can both help our teams. I love how many different teams and owners there are to negotiate with in Franchise. Having a grand ol'time reorganizing the Vegas franchise!

I agree with Jonathan. It was true in the NHL as well where teams had some extra cap space to work with after the expansion draft. I also can't wait to start Free Agency here in Franchise. It's going to be a lot more exciting if my theory is correct about the salary cap impact and level of interest in franchise players based on some of the brief discussions I've had with owners around the league.

Thanks.

I definitely needed to tweak my team a bit more. I was in 26th place back in 2016 after I took over the Ducks in the middle of the season only to fall 2 spots down in 2017 to 28th place.

Therefore depending on free agency this off-season, how my current trades work out along with the development of my current prospects, I am hoping to improve.

I applaud all the Franchise NHL owners for their high level of activity and interest. It has been impressive and probably unprecedented since my time in this league.

I want to note the considerable involvement and positive impact of the new Vegas Golden Knights owner ALL4U2NV who was involved in and/or connected a number of trades that significantly improved the outlook of his franchise. George McPhee would be proud.

I just wanted to get to the SB and figured at that point anything can happen and lucky for me, my boys had enough left to take out BAB. Live is the most challenging league I’m in and most fun, so thanks for what you all do to make it that way.
