Doubt we will notice a huge up tick in points scored because of this rule change. I think it's a matter of sanity for owners knowing they can make some adjustments into the evening but if you don't have the roster space you're pretty much going with the lineup you set days in advance in most cases.

I think it benefits teams more on the weekend. You might forget to set team and at 1PM players are already locked because 1 game at 12:30. I've had that happen many times over the years.

True, weekend games usually catch a lot of gents off guard. This also encourages owners to be active and will be most useful during the playoffs.
