Reds sign Kolten Wong - MI - 1.5 mil bonus

Good pick.  I was hoping he would fall to the 2nd round.

Do the Nats have the cap space to pay Cole 5m?  Their roster shows 5.5m cap space, but that was used up in the A-Rod deal.

I know it's a lot of work, but is there any way we can get the rosters updated to avoid this confusion?

I have had a one day field project turn into 4.  This is my fault, but I should finished tomorrow.  I haveo the spreadsheet at my office and can't get it to anyone.  The backup with colby would create ever more work.  It is not a lot of work, realitively easy, just can't be in 2 plaves at once. Please be patient, I will make sure it is done tomorrow.  Again I apologize.

Roy: Corey and I were just talking about this.  Jake wasn't aware of his roster status and would not have selected Cole if he had better knowledge on his roster.  While it is his responsbility to know his roster, this still creates an issue in the draft.  The best way may be to allow Jake to repick his player so that it is legal and then give people down the line a chance to repick.  For example, I would take Cole if Jake doesn't and then someone may take BA's #2 guy causing a couple other changes in selections.  It's best to solve now as Jake may not want to drop a bunch of prospects to clear cap room.

I would be dead set against that!  It was Jake's responsibility to know his cap space the same way that the Royals got stuck with someone, because he didn't make a pick.  I would allow Jake leniency in clearing cap space, but no way should we re-do any picks.

This may be a non-issue if he cuts J.D. Drew and Brian Fuentes.

I'm a Jake fan but I agree with Roy.

I looked at Jake's roster.  He's got a few 2011 expiring contracts for guys with very little to no future value, and he also has guys like Bill Hall whose contract expires in 2012 that he can cut to clear cap space.  I don't think he will have to cut any quality prospects to clear room for Cole.

I agree with this solution.  Drew and Fuentes would not be missed.

  • Braves155: IN NFL LIVE a player with any type role on a team can contribute & add value. After the 1st week of FA look at the FA wire...there will only be scraps

  • Rhino7: @Daddy, thanks for what you said lol. It was the ultimate challenge to beat JWalkerjr88 last season, I wanted my path to go through him so it makes my title run that much better! I just wanted to get to the SB and figured at that point anything can happen and lucky for me, my boys had enough left to take out BAB. Live is the most challenging league I’m in and most fun, so thanks for what you all do to make it that way.
