This is another June 1st trade.

Twins get:
CI Jorge Cantu $9.0m (2013)
SP Adam Wainwright $4.0m (2011)

Cardinals get:
CI Justin Morneau $13.5m (2013)

We give up a top starting pitcher but believe the improvement at CI balances out the trade. Our young pitchers are under-rated and hopefully De La Rosa and Medlen will pick up some of the slack if we are unable to trade for another SP.

Twins to confirm.

I'll approve this trade. Although I think Cantu is overpriced; this trade breaks up the salary evenly for the Twins.

I this deal for the Twins. I own Morneau in another league, but he has been unreal, everything points to a decline through the season. Don't get me wrong declining to .300, 30+ HR, and 100 Rbi's is great. Wainwright is now the Twinkies Ace.
