Once a position is open it remains open throughout Free Agency
Bidding
-Bidding is done on ProFSL=> FGM=> Transactions
-Each player will have his own thread.
-In the subject line put the player name, MLB team and position in no particular order.
-In the body put the total contract amount. The terms will be determined when the bid is won.
-Bid increments are $0.5M up to $20M. For bids over $20M the bid increment is $1M
-Bids are not won until they remain unchallenged for 48 hours
Wining bid
-After the bid is won it will be ?stickied? with the winning team?s name on it. You will be asked for the contract terms.
-Contract terms are basically the total amount divided by the length of the contract. There are, however, parameters that need to be met. Please familiarize yourself with this scale:

(We only use $0.5m increments and 99% of the time our rules say ?round to the nearest XX?. Over time that has come to mean round up. The reasoning is that you must pay at least the amount that you bid.)- Once the winning bid has been posted the winner has 48 hours to respond with the contract terms. If he doesn?t, the 2nd highest bidder may petition the league for the rights of the player. Should that option be declined, the player will be returned to the free agent pool.
Prospect Bidding
-If a player meets the criteria (< 50 games or 40IP) he can be given a Prospect Contract (PC)
-For bidding purposes, the PC itself has a value of $0.5m
-To outbid you can add a bonus (PC + $xx) There is no limit to bonus amounts.
-By default, PC will be placed in your MiLB
-Prospect bid can change to regular bids at any time by simply bidding a larger amount ($11m > PC+$10m)
-Once the bid is won the winner has the option to convert a PC contract to a regular one (PC+ $xx/ term of contract) Player will be placed on your MLB roster
