League settings indicate a maximum IP limit of 78 per scoring period. On the last day of the scoring period I am at 72 IP. One of my relievers throws 4 innings of mop-up. One of my starters gets sent out on 4 days rest and tosses 5 innings. This puts me over the 78 IP limit. How is this penalty applied?Under minor league roster eligibility is the following statement:"If a player in the minors exceeds the limit, they can remain there indefinitely"The language surrounding this text suggests that players may remain on the minor league roster after they have exceeded rookie eligibility. Request clarification / confirmation on when a rookie must be a forced called up.Thank You
All hitters or pitchers, depending on the scoring category exceeded, will stop accumulating stats for the rest of the scoring period. If the max has not been met or exceeded at the beginning of a day, stats will accumulate throughout that entire day, even if the max is exceeded. Note that ALL pitchers includes both SP and RP. For example, if a max is exceeded for Relief Appearances, stats will stop accumulating lost for the scoring period for Relief Pitchers (RP) as well as Starting Pitchers (SP).
Sorry to beat a dead horse here, and maybe I need another gallon of coffee. If I'm under the IP limit before the start of the last game,,,At this point it seems reasonable that I would not receive notification of exceeding any limits. Are you guys saying no pitching points will accrue that day if I end up exceeding the IP cap?Perhaps I started the day with 49, 60, or 77. But ultimately pass the cap during the last day. Or will the system record all point if under the limit at roster time? There is actually a lot of conflicting answers floating around. It matters because if you are under prior to the last lineup change, and the system records that days points, one could feasibly pile on a stack of pitchers. If it doesn't, how would the system decide which points to ignore? It's entirely possible you could enter the final day of the scoring period with 49 points and have to leave 29 innings on the table for fear of going over the cap. Any further insight is appreciated - this will be my last question on the matter for fear of a mental breakdown:)Thanks,
IMPORTANT NOTE: If and when any Maximum is met, all stats will count for all players for the entire day on which the Maximum is met. Therefore, it is very possible for any Maximum you set to be exceeded without penalty. If you want to disallow those extra stats above the maximum, you can either manually override any player's stats or team's scores via Commissioner Options, or you can retroactively remove the player(s) that obtained stats past the maximum(s).
