Dodgers GM seat

I thought that the general consensus was that we would use an objective standard such as seniority to decide these things going forward.

What we said is that my hiring should go internal first.  Seniority, activity, and performance all factor in here.  We may all have a bias here though. To me, I see great candidates across the board and will likely go to seniorty as the determining factor.

It is safe to say that Howe :COL:, Paul :STL:, Rick :CHW:, Chris :SD:, and Daniel :TOR: all have interest here.  I will have to make an executive decision here, so please give me your reasons as to why you should be hired/promoted.

Down to...

Howe Cheng :COL: h4cheng - Oct09, team regressed in 2010 but a top team this year
Rick Straus :CHW: BHows - Nov09, White Sox improved a bit under Rick
Chris Calcia :SD: joeshmoe - May10, team has gotten worse but farm has improved
Daniel Valensi :TOR: Daniel - Dec09, phenomenal job with the Blue Jays last year; team is in the hunt again

Daniel is my leading vote this far with what he has done in Toronto.  This doesn't even include the factor that he bleeds Dodger blue.

when this is done, will we be looking for a new owner to take over a team i have friend that is on as much as i am that may be interested if so....

Yeah tell him to sign up at the waiting list.

[OUDAN]

was wanting to see if he could skip the waiting list and just get in, prolly not wanting to set on a waiting list.

Chris doesn't have the tenure or performance.  Rick and Paul bowed out in light of other candidates.

For the sake of transparency, I think that you should share the reasons with the league why all of the candidates want to switch teams when issues like this come up.

I agree, but we are down to two GMs and they need to give their reasons.

I was just looking for little bit of a change. Dodgers have many good prospects and I like this league because you can watch prospects grow. Winning with a group that I put together would be even better.
I would have had a lot of mixed emotions had I won the job

[joeshmoe]

Why would I not have tenure or performance for this job?  Performance?
