My vote is to cut 2draft picks and expanded the minors by 5-10 spots not big just enough to add the depth you are looking for but not too go crazy
There has been quite a few changes but it keeps activity up and trying to keep everything correct and corresponding as closely with the actual NHL.Here is what I think:- I like the 2 minor league teams, it is easy to manage for me because those N/C players can be stored away- We cut it down to 4 draft picks after this season's entry draft- We split into 2 - 15 players limits. One for contracted players, one for N/C players. Our current limit is 20 players so this would be 30 players total- Maintain a $15m cap in minors- Any player signed to a contract is moved to AHL unless called straight up to NHL. Any player that hits 40 games is signed and brought up to majors, if no room then player is released. What about this?
I really don't like the last point and think thats where we will have problems when we have 2 minor league teams. I know I would be mad if my 1st round pick got release cause there was no room on my NHL roster
I understand that but don't we have that problem now as well if someone leaves a player there for 40 games without a contract?
I guess we actually have a bigger problem right now that if a player hits 40 games he is automatically signed and placed in the majors, so if a team is at the full 25 that will have an invalid roster and possibly lose a week because of it.
