Either your "IN OR YOUR IN THE WAY"
« on: October 30, 2012, 09:14:41 AM »
I am so fed up with people joining this league and not participating. Or joining and interacting just long enough to make the perfect amount of foolish moves to destroy a franchises's chances to be relevant. This isn't an ESPN re-draft public league where you just join and it runs itself. Kenny has taken a lot of time out of his own life to make this one of the best leagues on the best fantasy site and he has done it at no cost to anyone of us. When we each joined this league we made a commitment not only to Kenny but to the other owners involved. We have a chance to make this a very special league, but it's not going to make itself great. It is going to take a concerted effort by all parties involved. So I'm calling everyone out, my self included. Do your part, live up to your commitment and manage your team to the fullest of your ability. It's time for all this inactivity to cease, we all made a pledge to Kenny, to Armchair and all it's owners when we signed our names on the dotted line. Well it's high time we all start honoring it.

I would have to agree with Matt on this one.  Being a Commish is not easy and everyone wants things done quickly.  I am a commish in a couple leagues and finding people is tough.  It doesn't take much time to answer a PM.  It's email, we all have it.  If you don't have email then you must be living in a cave.  If so, Hi Osama!  Please participate in the league as it makes it more enjoyable for everyone involved.

Kudos Matt!

It's quite unfortunate.

There aren't that many people looking for fantasy baseball leagues during this time of the year, so for now my primary focus is getting the rosters of open teams in order. Secondary focus is getting new GM's to replace inactive ones.

Much thanks to Lando for helping out with the amateur draft, which frees me up to work on these other important things.

No worries. I will do what I can.

Agree with Matt (fourfingerwoo).  The start of the draft, where 2 of first 4 picks skipped, is very disconcerting.  Can't believe owners of those teams would let the best of the '12 draft just slide by.

I believe Joe is in Philly so he might be affected by the hurricane. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I'll make a pick for him tomorrow if we don't hear from him.

Not sure what happened to Matt (Milwaukee).

It would be a HUGE shame if Milwaukee missed both of their first round picks because they need them.

I couldn't agree more with Matt's statement.  If you join a league, there is no excuse for extreme inactivity.  If you can't commit to the bare minimum, you shouldn't have accepted the gracious invite.  If everyone would just respond to PMs/emails, it would be huge.  Kenny has done a great job with this league.  I would argue that it is the best on this site.

  • indiansnation: 2:15PM: The Dodgers announced this afternoon that they’ve placed right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the 15-day injured list with triceps tightness. The club also placed right-hander Michael Grove on the 15-day injured list due to lat tightness. In corresponding moves, the club has recalled right-hander J.P. Feyereisen and selected the contract of right-hander Michael Petersen. To make room for Petersen on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers transferred right-hander Joe Kelly to the 60-day injured list.
