Yankees extension

The Yankees held a press conference today to announce the extension of Neftali Feliz we will use his prospect extension he was the #90 RP last year which entitles him to $1m per year spec min is $4mil. So in turn the contract will be

Feliz, Neftali $4m (2017)

Neftali was asked how he felt about being a yankee for another 5 years, his response was I love the Pinstripes and expect to win as this organization does!

Since it is before June 1st in the season you have to consider the current seasons standings as well as the previous two seasons.  Neftali Feliz is currently rated the #4 RP this year with an extension value of 12.5M.  You would be eligible for a 50% reduction in that salary so the extension would need to be the following.

12.5M* 50% = 6.25 Rounded up to 6.5M (2017)
