New Update to the Block.
PITCHERS
I need to deal a couple of RP's. The following are available (others will become available after the June deadline for recently signed FA's):
Huston Street, Jake McGee, Cesar Ramos, Brandon Gomes, Mariano Rivera
Street and McGee are high leverage guys that I will expect solid value in return for. Ramos and Gomes are both MLB level SP's on reasonable team friendly contracts that would help many of the teams in our league. I would obviously be willing to get rid of Rivera in exchange for simply absorbing some or all of his salary. The only advantage would be to a team that would be willing to sit on his expiring contract and take advantage of the hometown discount in the FA bidding process.
BATTERS
Ben Zobrist - There is no reason for him to be starting in my outfield. He needs to be some team's starting 2B based on position scarcity. So I'm putting him on the block so someone else can get the highest and best use for him. Reasonable salary for two years on a top 5 2B. I want to receive a reasonably priced, quality OF to fill his roster spot as well as a prospect or package of prospects to cover the difference in value
Sean Rodriguez - A young guy with multiple position availability that is really starting to hit. With Brignac demoted for good most likely, he is starting to flash some of his potential.
Elliot Johnson - SS eligible player that has been knocking the cover off of the ball. Batting average is in the .280 range and he is among the league leaders in steals despite only recently getting significant playing time.
Aubrey Huff - Veteran bat acquired from the Giants. While he cannot be counted on to put up the All Star caliber numbers that he did two years ago, he still has solid ability and will still get consistent at bats with a manager that prefers veterans.
In all deals, I'm open to any combination of MLB players, prospects, and cash. I WILL be dealing some of the RP's listed above (and hopefully I will do so very quickly) so do not miss out.
