Warriors/Wizards deal
«
on:
January 01, 2020, 04:26:43 PM »
Warriors receive:
2020 first round pick - Wizards
2020 first round pick - Milwaukee
Wizards receive:
Kevin Durant 26.5(2022)
Washington makes this huge trade to acquire another stud for my big 3. With Durant and Klay out for the year, I’m playing for the next few years and having those 3 as a core with an improving Culver, I like what I’m building. Thanks Milton and good luck!

Warriors accept. This allows us to drop a large salary while getting 2 picks to build for the longer term future.

You could argue Durant might be worth even more than 2 1st but there is some question marks if he returns to the same KD pre injury and the cap can be used to land another star in FA.

Totally agree with Vik.
For the future he could have 1 superstar or 2 stars and also 2 first picks if he moves well in FA. For the other side, well is Durant. If he returns at least at his 70% would be a great addition

Achilles injuries are no joke, and Durant carries some expensive risk moving forward. KD's upside is undeniable though.

Nice deal, the Wiz are going to be a force next year when all those guys get into the lineup to join Porz.
If KD ends up falling apart, the last 2 years are TO's so those can be declined with no cap hit which is a nice fall-out if everything goes wrong somehow.
