Braves - Marlins Trade 4/3/19 12:01 am ET

Presently, without a GM, the :MIA-MLB: are a team in turmoil.  It only has 25 players on its MLB roster and has a lot of holes to fill.  So in an effort to make the team more solvent, the team will be under league management until a suitable GM can be found.  In that spirit, the following trade is being made to get the :MIA-MLB: some much needed pitching.  Granted, SP Matt Moore is not an elite talent, but his manageable contract, hopefully he will rebound from his 2018 meltdown and have a decent year in Detroit.

Marlins trade:
RP McGee, Jake, $0.5m (2019)

Braves trade:
SP Moore, Matt, $2m (2021), signed 2/3/19

Since Moore was signed on 2/3/19, he's not eligible to be traded until April 3, 2019 (60 Day No Trade Rule).  So if approved, the trade will be noted on each team's ProFSL roster, but will not be processed on Fantrax until April 3, 2019.

Braves confirm the deal.
When I took this team over I was looking for a way to rid the team of some of the bad contracts. Moore was on my list to purge. McGee will provide a decent arm in the pen for less money and is expiring at the end of the year.
