$4,766,000 in 2017 International Funds

Cubs make this deal to continue revamp of roster. Two solid arms go to the Dodgers, but I am always very heavy in the international signing market. Hopefully, a couple guys get cleared that we did not forsee and I have the money to sign them. Otherwise, Cubs lose big time in this deal. Carl to confirm.

Not that I am one to want to know everyone's secret plans or anything, but until we have a better explanation of why : CHC: is trading away prospects for virtually nothing, I have to veto.  I reserve the right to change my vote upon a good explanation. Again, not looking for specifics necessarily, just enough to feel good about approving

The Cubs are well aware of the risk/reward as they explained. Not like the specs are blue chip and there is always a few good Cuban J2s that come available throughout the year that are now the Cubs for the taking. I think it’s more than fair enough.

I have multiple players that I hope sign. I want to beef up my lower minors and international players so my system is deeper.  I am obviously open to moving Freeman and Teheran for top level guys (multiple blue chip prospects as those guys are well established and can help a team win a title). So, knowing the top part of system may be loaded, I want to load up the lower levels of my system.
