I am pretty sure this winning bid would put you over the cap limit.  Even 6.1m would because it can only be spread over 3 years.

I believe he could cut a prospect to free up the extra 0.2M needed to sign him.  He is at a full roster anyways so would need to cut a player.

Alrighty, I was under the impression that we could at no time be over the cap.  Are we allowed to win a FA bid and then get under the cap?

i would post that to the QA.  That is an answer I would be curious to hear as well.

The way I see it as if I win the bids I will release the players in my minor system and drop prospects from my full roster to my minors..... I also have a few guys under a million per year that I can get a free drop on, I just dont want to drop or release anyone until I know ive won a player etc.

I think thats how the rules were understood, hopefully!!!

Yep that makes sense.  I didn't know if you were allowed to be over the cap at any point in time, but Robo cleared it all up.  Let the bidding war begin.

3 year deal worth 2.2 Million per Year

To make this deal work, I will drop Igor Bobkov from my Minor roster and move Mikeal Granlund from my major roster to my minor roster. This will save the additional 200K I need on top of my 2 million cap to make this deal work.
