Free Agent signing of Dennis Wideman to a contract worth > 4.1m. The actual FA contract from BUF is Dennis Wideman, $5.3m (2016-2019).

Calgary Flames agree to this trade which is to be processed after the completion of the FNHL Finals.
We posted an open offer to any team that could take Wideman's cap hit off our payroll and Buffalo has done just that.
The cap savings from this trade will help us towards our goal of building a champion in Calgary.
