Any thoughts? I don't see y I have to pay more then his real NHL contract

It all equals out in the end. You want to pay Yakupov 3.8m instead of 3m?

It is unfortunate that some players will make more in our league then other but I think it is the standard we have had for 2 years and I don't wish to change it unless others are for this as well.

Yes exactly, it would go against your major league cap. This also happens if someone retires in the minors as well.

Two way contracts are eligible for players who have been drafted by their respective teams.

If I trade for a draftee with N/C and (for example) no games played, would I be able to then sign him to a 2-way contract? Is that only possible to the original team that made the pick?

Would the 3rd party team be required to pay the additional $500k that is applied to FA 2-way contracts? (A clause that would make sense to drop for the sake of simplicity and ease of governance....why not just let all players under 40 games be eligible?)

Otherwise....I have inherited a number of prospects with N/C and limited games but have no idea if the were FA's, draftees, or the result of a trade.

Yes you can sign a player you received from a trade with a N/C, to a 2 way contract as only contracts with N/C were drafted within the entry draft in backyard.

Only FA's that were signed that are under the 40 game limit will have to pay the extra 500K

Hope this helps

  • Daddy: Honestly i love the deal because my GMs love it. I dont say good deal bad deal or i like this side better.  My goal is to provide a fair platform where people are free to trade and not be judged because nobody knows for sure how these trades will play out. Lots of ACLs are gonna tear between now and new years.  Im always happy that two strangers with different backgrounds can meet in our league and enjoy freedom to be themselves and do what THEY THINK is best. I love every deal. (Had to share that @Braves) :toast:
