1. Would there be a limit on number of players you could rfa?
2. If a player goes through rfa and no one wants that player, will that player be ineligible to be re-signed until a certain date?
1. It depends on how we structured when a player becomes an RFA but my thought is no. If we did age and you had 10 players under 23 going to FA well that kind of sucks for you. If we go off of two-ways then there won't be a ton each year anyway.
2. There would be a deadline, same as the real NHL, that their original team must sign them or they become an UFA and the original team no longer has any rights over them.
Another thing that I would add is that the original team can not bid on the player in FA so they can't affect the market value. Also players do not have to be RFA'd but there is really no risk to doing so.
