I was updating rosters and have seen some ridiculous contracts that have been given to goalies who have gotten the call up due to injuries to starters. Or even just simply to a goalie who is a backup that wins it out of training camp. These goalies then go back to the minors once the starter comes back or play one season and are never heard of again. So I am wondering if we should change the number of games played by a goalie before we can bid on them in free agency to try and ensure these goalies aren't just rotting in our minors.
Here is the proposed change:
No goalie can be bid on until they have reached 9 career games played. (Change is from 1 game currently)
