Along with unbalanced deals.

Who are we to guess what a 'balanced deal' is?  Imagine if you're the guy who took over a Pipeline team and had Josh Hamilton (a highly polarizing player) on your team.  You don't like him and want to trade him for anything.  So you strike up a deal with the Daniel Nava owner.  We all get to veto it because Josh Hamilton is a top40 preseason player based on the ESPNYahooCBS garbage rankings?

Meanwhile, the trade is vetoed and Daniel Nava puts up 2700pts while Hamilton barely break 1600...

You people would have vetoed the Cowboy's Herschel Walker trade for the Vikings because he was a big name.  All the Cowboys got out of it was a couple journeymen and some guy named Emmitt Smith?  Nope, that's an unbalanced deal!

Let managers manage their own teams as long as they have a justification for why it makes their team better.

Haseloff- I really do appreciate the concern, but after reviewing the scoring system in this league, even I recognize this to be an unbalanced deal. I'll see about reworking the terms, but it's safe to say this deal is dead for now. Appreciate the concern though.

This deal needs a little re-work.  Look forward to seeing the new one!

No hard feelings.

  • Daddy: I didn't make any excuses in CCD. I dont want it written off that i had Ben Simmons starting instead of Steph Curry at PG. We have no idea how that would have impacted my performance or future moves.

  • Daddy: My opinion no matter what justifications anyone presents is that salary manipulation and poor design made the playing field imbalanced from the beginning.

  • Daddy: All the rule changes since then, many in line with LIVE practices, is more of a testament to that than anything i could say.

  • Daddy: One of the greatest basketball minds in dynasty in the world left our league in year 3. Sighting it was impossible to have League balance after the advantages of paid contracts and vetoes were distributed.

  • Daddy: Thats why it was allowed to begin with. I know because i was there when "Corey" wrote all that bullCrap into his rules. Then... Like i said. Everyone copied it.

  • Daddy: Why would you allow cash exchange in fantasy sports where people quit nonstop especially after doing them? Why would you have a trade committee of 7 for 2 vetoes to kill a deal? A committee made up 100% of the guys you trying to beat.
  • Daddy: Because you need it. To manipulate your outcome. There is no other reason.

  • Brent: Okay, so we have to select 5 players to keep and the other 10 go into the expansion draft.  Are the 2024 rookies part of the expansion draft or part of a rookie draft?

  • Daddy: Rookie draft
  • Daddy: And @Brent i know you want the smoke. Some of yall i know yall just want to compete and have a solid product.

  • Daddy: Its the ones in one league that profess how smart they are and they are the sport expert.

  • Brent: Okay, perfect so an expansion draft and a rookie draft.  Nice.  Yeah, I'm usually competitive in most leagues.

  • jmntl82: So if one of the 10 players you don’t protect gets picked the other 9 are out of the player pool for the expansion draft?
  • Daddy: Meaning if my Timberwolves had the 7th pick in real life, i would have the 9th pick b/c Seattle is #1 & Vegas #2
    Today at 07:17:30 PM

  • Daddy: Each team can only lose 1 player to expansion.
  • Daddy: The expansion teams should be competitive right away. Especially since in NBA LIVE we score 12 players per matchup. Not 6.
  • Daddy: Its my team vs your team. All 12 players have relevance. Only the 3 non active players on the bench wont suit up.
  • Brent: The expansion draft is 1 round?  So 30 players selected to fill 2 teams?
  • Daddy: Yes 30 picks. 1 round. Alternating picks. After pick 30 its amateur draft picks 1 & 2
    Today at 07:25:01 PM
