KC and Detroit have struck an inter-division deal:

KC sends:
LF Alex Gordon ($4.775m)

Detroit sends:
C John Jaso ($0.4952m)
2B Scott Sizemore ($0.48m)
RF Avilsail Garcia (minor league contract - high-A Lakeland)
3B Carson Kelly (minor league contract - rookie league DSL)

Detroit makes this trade because we're in need of a LF or RF and have liked Gordon for a quite a while. I have a surplus of catchers and though I like Avisail Garcia a lot and think he could be an all star, I'm feeling good about the prospects currently in my system and want to bolster my big league team.

I was in need for a catcher and Jaso fills that role. I like Garcia's potential and not just because he looks like Miggy. I like Kelly's power potential and St. Louis' ability to develop hitters. Sizemore gives me some depth on the infield. I hate giving up Gordon, since he's a stud, but this deal should help me in the long run. Thanks for the good dealings John.
