Pittsburgh and Columbus trade

I do this trade to get a good LW in Nash. LW was a problem for me all last year and this helps me greatly. I also get a great prospect in Tarasenko. I do give up Henrik Sedin but I have a lot of good young players at C with guys like Couturier, Backlund, Anisimov, Josefson, Jeffery and Tangradi and I am hoping that next year some of them will elevate their game further so that helps make Sedin tradeable. I lose Johnson at D but I have Despres ready to be called up. If Tarasenko comes to the NHL then I really like this deal for me. I also gain 500k in cap space.

Jackets agree to this trade.

This trade works for CBJ as Sedin steps into the hole left at C when we traded Stastny, and we really like Johnson.  He replaces the young Dman from our earlier trade.  Johnson will be part of the power play in Columbus and his numbers should take a big step forward.  Hard to give up on Tarasenko, but I would be surprised to see him in the NHL this season, and with the Russians you just never know.  Also Nash's cap number is tough to deal with, so glad to move it.

This deal compliments my earlier trade and the new Jackets are taking shape.
