Wow, what can I say but what a mega deal for the Marlins to be able to pick up one of the top 2 CF in the game.  Then being able to pick up highly talented Gordon and Sands who has a bright future as well.  The marlins did have to give up quite a bit of talent in return though.  Pavano was on a 1 yr contract but losing long term Britton and Schafer hurt.  Furcal as long as he stays healthy should be a good fit in LA again.  Soriano is off to a wonderful start this spring but could fall back into his old ways this season and we are also sending $8M a yr to help pay for his contract. Jhan Marinez has a bright future in the pen with the white sox if he can stay healthy.  Overall this trade lightens contract burdens for the Marlins and moves potential health issues as well.  This will undoubtly help fill some holes in LA this year and beyond.

Im sorry but this trade is totally one sided. How can you trade Kemp and Gordan and all that talent and in return you are getting crap back and taking on all that cap from Soriano. My vote doesnt count but it should be  :veto: and I can go all day on this trade and why it should be.The Gm for the Dodgers needs to take time and look at his team and revalue his players before doing a trade like that again.

Don't have a vote either, and I'm really cautious with pushing for trades to be vetoed. But this is an awful trade. Dodgers are receiving nothing except debt. As a matter of fact you can almost argue the three best players in the deal are being traded by one team. Wow this is really a bad showing for a new owners first attempt at a trade. All I can say Dodgers, is get your phone ready cause everyone in the league is going to be calling try to rob you.

Guys,

As you know, I'm a big fan of the open market and I hate vetoing trades.  Therefore, it really pains me to say this, but this trade is EXTREMELY lop-sided.  That's strange considering that LAD has made many smart moves since taking over their team.

I will not pass a veto vote simply because I can't bring myself to do it, but this deal is far too lopsided for me to Ok.  MIA gaining that much talent for (in my opinion) very little value, makes it impossible for me to sign off on.

The three most valuable players from this deal are all coming from LAD with very little coming back. I reserve the right to change my right to a veto simply because this type of deal could upset the balance of the league.  And I love this league.

Man, I was going to wait for confirmation from :LAD:, but I'm just going to jump right in and tell it like I see it.

This trade simply won't happen.  I've had the pleasure of chatting quite a bit with snbts and I KNOW for a fact that he would not take part in any kind of collusion.

I know this is going to be disappointing for him, but this trade will not go through.
Miami is getting almost all of the talent, most of the youth, and all of the cap relief.

I'm sure :LAD: agreed to this deal for a reason, but I just can't think of any argument that would persuade me to allow this deal. (and I'm completely against vetoing trades)

I don't think I need to explain why I think this trade is overly uneven.

I vote Veto. Have not seen such a lopsided trade in a long time. Kemp is arguably the best player in the league right now and he would fetch a much better return than trash players who should be given away for free. Plus, the fact that Dee Gordon is included simply baffles me. Not only are young ss worth a ton in this league from what we have seen, but one who has already proved he can play at the majors and has a guaranteed starting position? Worth a lot in my opinion. This trade simply makes no sense. There is no cap relief for LA, but actually the opposite and all the good players go to Florida. This is simply too awful a trade.

  • Rhino7: @Daddy, thanks for what you said lol. It was the ultimate challenge to beat JWalkerjr88 last season, I wanted my path to go through him so it makes my title run that much better! I just wanted to get to the SB and figured at that point anything can happen and lucky for me, my boys had enough left to take out BAB. Live is the most challenging league I’m in and most fun, so thanks for what you all do to make it that way.

  • Jwalkerjr88: If i traded all my picks to a division rival in a rebuild and he beat me in the title game with Desmond ridder or lose undefeated. Its all a loss at the end of the day

  • Brent: Agreed.  I'm decent at building, but I need to get better st winning.  I did win an offsite 32-team football league, it only took me 1.5 season to rebuild and win.
