Extension value is correct. However per contract rules, a $5m salary can get a max of 3 years. You can get 4 years if you’d like to bump his salary to $5.5m or 5 years if you bump salary to $10m.

The contract year minimum is done so players can’t just be signed to cheap long term contracts.

ah yep, just saw that. will go with 4 years at $5.5m.

Unsure on what the protocols are here but the last season he was healthy (2017/2018), he was the #4 player per Fantrax

He only played 36 and 19 games in the last two seasons, which tanked his ranking to the levels that they're at, but it feels like a glitch that he would be on a 4 yr 22 million total value contract

Rules are last 2 full seasons during the off season. Sometimes players like this will get extended cheaper due to 2 straight injury plagued seasons but not often.

But this extension isn’t being done due to Pacers stepping down right now.
