Would like to extend these players for the upcoming seasons, as they will become free agents this summer. Help me understand, but in Turris and Smith I need to go with the 13-14 season stats, right?

That is correct. You use the higher (more costly) of the two.

Note that by posting extensions now before the end of the FNHL finals, the extensions take effect immediately. If you sign extensions after the Finals, they will start in 2015-16.
