Suggestion from the commish
« on: January 12, 2010, 02:03:31 PM »
Hello all,

I just want to remind you that free agency opens this Friday. I think it would be in every GMs best interest to redo their Depth charts if they haven't already. This may make it easier for you to establish what you need in FA. I also find that having the depth charts updated makes it easier for teams to propose trades to one another since it is easier to see what one team may need, and what is has an abundance of. Feel free to contact me with any questions, if you need it answered sooner email is best. Happy hunting lady(s - do we have more than one?) and gentlemen.

I have been talking to Dan about how we want this league to have further developments.  He wanted to see everyone's depth chart / trade block threads combined with the official roster.  I figured out a way to do that the Executive Committee can easily keep up, the GM's can edit, and it is all in one place.

It involves merging threads which is something any mod can do.  Since the roster postings are older, they will still be the first post in the thread.  When a single post depth chart / trade block is available, the mod can merge it with the roster thread.  This way, when you click the logo up top for a team, you can also view their depth chart and trade block.  This will consolidate a lot under this board, and it could be something other leagues may want to follow.

Depth charts and official rosters merged!

Now, when you click your official roster page - if you previously made a depth chart then you will see it there!  In the Official Team Pages board, you may only edit your own posts.  You cannot reply or create new posts.

If you do not have a depth chart and would like to see yours there then post it here in the main board and ask the commish to merge it.

Dan, I will let you take this one, but the depth chart needs to be a post by Chris so that he can edit it.  I suggest splitting his post here out of this thread, moving it to Team Pages, and merging it with the Mariners thread.  Before of after you do this, you should also split out your post of the Mariners depth chart.

  • Jwalkerjr88: It was dallas. I think he missed the playoffs that year. Then used the draft picks on the 2021 class. Every pick was the 32nd pick (dont remembee what the other 1st became)
  • Jwalkerjr88: Idk if anyone remembers the 2021 class but it was weak on offense outside or the top 10-15. I dont regret the deal just learned and move on. As long as you have assets, you can mold your build how you want. Picks are usually the most valuable asset because most gms want in on a draft.
