Miami approves  We get back Desmond our personal favorite, Sanchez since we need a 5th starter, and Denorfia to cover up. We hate to lose Rios but I wish him the best in Pittsburgh. Thanks Colby for the good negotiations

This is an instant boost in production with Rios having a solid year.  Cap wise, the Pirates pick up a little breathing room this year but add the liability of Rios (over Sanchez) in 2014.  With Desmond's oblique injury, this move allows us to re-tool and have a very productive OF of Swisher, Ethier, and Rios.  Pierre, Revere, and Mayberry are not fans of this move as they had a greater platoon situation set up with Denorfia, but Rios will get regular playing time.  Meanwhile, bum Ryan Theriot somehow keeps a starting job.  Solid negotiations Samuel.
