I have high hopes that DeBrusk is going to be a really good 2nd line player (1.7ish fantasy points per game) just having a bad year this year. So adding a 1st should more than compensate the loss of Tarasenko. The rest was throw ins for Cap reasons.

I'm a Tarasenko fan and fact he is back and healthy, with no real signs of rust meant I was willing to pay. Debrusk might be better going forward and was higher on him not too long ago, but current lack of production had him expandable. Tarasenko 7m is, pricey but trade works this year and then expiring next year not too bad, plus I still have cap to take him on. Hoping he can be a nice addition for stretch run.
