I cannot approve this trade. A young starter with ace potential, with a good contract, for a back-up infielder. I understand the Angels are trying to cut payroll, but this deal is fairly lopsided. It's not like Volquez's contract is the one that is weighing down the payroll of the Angels.

I would need to hear more explanation as to why this deal is being agreed to. It is also hard for me to believe that this is the best that Volquez could get in return. Again, this is just my opinion, and maybe the other members of the TC feel differently.

I feel same Dan volquez 1 more year from injury potential is there to be ace and Getz never proved worth more then backup

I am in agreement with Dan, can not approve this deal.

The Angels have yet to answer, I too think that it is very lopsided. Having traded for Volquez and traded him away, I have seen lots of value go back and forth for him. Getz is clearly not enough. But I do believe that before doing a veto the Angels should get an opportunity to explain themselves.

I think the TC has spoken regardless. The two parties have one of two options, change the mind of the TC, or change the deal. This is being moved to invalid in the meantime.
