There's only been a trickle of trade activity so far. 

Non playoff teams have yet to stir the pot. 
Maybe it's up to the contenders to knock on doors. 
Perhaps the tiny amount of cap space teams are working with is making trades difficult. That's a fact this year.

The Avs look like they're ready to compete for the Cup. They have been every year this league's been around but were a few moves shy.
