Franchise NHL / Re: FNHL 2019/20 CAP: $81.5 MILLION
« on: Yesterday at 11:56:46 AM »
The NHL salary cap has been set at $81.5 million for the 2019-20 season according to NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.

Therefore the FNHL cap ceiling will be set at $81.5m with a cap floor of $60.2m :judge:

Time to start paying attention to the cap limits for the start of the season.

Below are the penalties for key team roster and cap violations:

Here are a list of penalties for various violations since they have not been spelled out in this league.

(A) Exceeded Minor League Roster Limit (must be correctly immediately) = lose most recent MiLR player additions
note: owners can easily drop excess MiLR players to comply.

(B) Below OR Over Cap (1 week warning in effect after which penalty will be levied) = Lose Highest draft pick or at the discretion of the league commissioner(s) lose a player from active roster or receive $1.0m cap penalty for season if over cap or lose top rated MiLR player.
note: owners need some time to comply but given this is a salary cap league, the penalty must be severe.

(C) Inactive Team (period of unexplained inactivity TBD on a case-by-case basis) = Team will become Profsl League Owned; former owner can apply to be reinstated to FNHL for the next season.
note: commissioner(s) will assume ownership of inactive teams until suitable ownership is found and in some cases former owners will be banned from re-entering FNHL. League owned teams cannot transact with teams owned by commissioners or other temporary owners involved in managing the inactive team.

Other violations and resulting penalty will be addressed in the near future.

  • Daddy: Ok my friend
  • Brent: We have a 12 NFL week season.  To get 16 games in that season and to not have our multiple oppenent weeks schedules during NFL bye weeks, the schedule had to be front loaded.  2 oppenents weeks 1-2 and 3 oppenents week 3, then single oppenents to finish out the season with the last 3 games, NFL weeks 10, 11, 12 NFLC weeks 14, 15, 16 are all against division opponents.

  • Daddy: The Bye Weeks were always just a random byproduct in my schedules. Fair for all because we all had 1. Each week was worth 2 games but that was a condensed schedule because we started late.
  • Daddy: It is creative. Either way this week is the most important. Lets get it!
  • Daddy: WCE should be in the playoffs.
  • Brent: Yeah, I thought through it a lot and to use the NFL scheduling with the size of the league we had to have 16 games and to condense 16 games into 12 weeks to creativity.
  • Brent: yeah, but there is not tanking rules so it is what it is.

  • Brent: there should be some way to address it for next season
    Today at 01:19:50 AM
  • Daddy: Well, if he is fielding eligible guys and purposely not playing his starters, there isnt much to be done.
  • Daddy: I made WAR so that you had to start a guy at all times. Someone eligible. If you cana do that then tanking is what it is.
  • Brent: yeah, I know
