Unless Kenny says otherwise, we give them the 12hrs. The rules state that they get 12 hrs to make their pick. Unless they are no longer the GM for the team we must give them the opportunity to make a pick. 1056

Armchair Fantasy Baseball: Completed Transactions / Re: KC Royals - Releases« on: November 29, 2011, 02:08:21 PM »btw, I assume there are no revocable waivers in this league, right?Yes you are correct Irrevocable Outright Waivers A team that wishes to remove a player from the 40-man roster and place him in the minor league system first needs to place him on irrevocable outright waivers. The team may not pull him back if another team claims the player. Other organizations have 48 hours to make a claim. You know this discussion is really good. I believe this is what Kenny intended when he created this league. He wanted this to be the best. I dont know if we can change the rules for future years but this is the type of discussions I am assuming he was looking for to help form this league. 1058
Armchair Fantasy Baseball: Completed Transactions / Re: KC Royals - Releases« on: November 29, 2011, 12:47:25 AM »The system is what it is right now, but I just want to throw this in there right now: As far as THIS year goes, I think the order shouldn't be the team's records from last year, but the order in which we pick in the amateur draft. That makes a lot more sense to me for this particular year. ..... Of course after this year is over, it would go back to using the record. That wouldn't be all that bad except the Yankees would have the 5th best chance. That is the only problem with that. 1059
Armchair Fantasy Baseball: Completed Transactions / Re: KC Royals - Releases« on: November 29, 2011, 12:27:01 AM »The worst team gets first dibs at ANYONE dropped, that's not an advantage? By all means it is an advantage, but the team is still "crappy," I was saying that this should not make a difference in whether you have a playoff contender or another pretender. This may help the team in the future years or possibly in a stat temporarily. From what I get, this league is about competitive balance. That is why each of us get $125M for payroll. For a couple of years it will take awhile to get the competitive balance straightened out. Remember the Constituition is a constantly evolving document that changes with the needs of the league. 1060
Armchair Fantasy Baseball: Completed Transactions / Re: KC Royals - Releases« on: November 28, 2011, 10:57:36 PM »I dont really like this rule. As in the "crappy" teams would always get the picks. Just my 2 cents. You are dropping someone from your 40 man roster for someone you believe is better,correct...Do you really believe that the "crappy" teams will have such a great advantage due to that. If you have someone you believe is going to make such a huge difference, why would you want to remove them? |
