Franchise GM: Completed Transactions / Roster correction
« on: June 26, 2012, 09:10:25 AM »
I'm missing the money sent over to me in the Cuddyer trade.

When you update rosters again can you please correct this?  Thanks!

:PHI: sends

CI Liddi, Alex, $1m (2013)
X-CI Liddi, Alex, Cash exchanged on Contract 2012, $-1m in 2012
MI Galvis, Freddy, $0.5m (P-n/a)
MI-OF Martinez, Michael, $0.5m (P-n/a)
OF Beltre, Engel, $0.5m (P-n/a)

to :ARZ: for

CI Young, Michael, $10m (2015)
Ariz pays 5m in 2012
CI Singleton, Jonathan, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Philly does this deal to acquire Singleton.  I have been a fan of his since he was coming up in the Phils system.  I'm hoping he lives up to the hype and pans out.  Young is having a real tough year and I'm taking the chance that his career isn't coming to a screeching halt as I take on his big contract.  I hate to lose Liddi who is a young player and I really hate losing Galvis as I feel he will have a good solid career.

Thanks Omar for the negotiations.  Arizona to confirm  :toast:

Some of this trade was part of the Konerko-Rizzo deal that we had to wait until June 1.  We have combined that trade with a new one.  As a whole:

Philly sends:

OF Victorino, Shane, $11m (2014)
PHI pays 2m in 2013
RP Samardzija, Jeff, $1.5m (2014)
OF Angel Morales, $0.5m (P-n/a)

for

CI-OF Cuddyer, Michael, $9m (2014)
BOS pay $2.5m in 2012, $3m in 2013 and $1mil in 2014
P Richard, Clayton, $4.5m (2016)
RP Madson, Ryan, $2.5m (2014)

I have agreed to this trade to get the flexibility with Cuddyer.  He is also a little cheaper.  Madson I believe will be back next year and we be his old self again.  Richard is an ok pitcher.  Samardzija was tough to give up as he was part of the Konerko deal but I think he is pitching better than he is right now.  As always, thanks for the negotiations Jeff  :toth:

Franchise GM: Completed Transactions / Phillies - Nats Trade
« on: May 20, 2012, 06:34:54 PM »
Phillies send:

MI Rollins, Jimmy, $5.5m (2014)
X-MI Rollins, Jimmy, Cash Exchanged on Contract, $-3m in 2012
OF Byrd, Marlon, $5m (2012)
X-OF Byrd, Marlon, Cash Exchange on Contract through 2012, $-5m in 2012

for

OF Brantley, Michael, $0.5m (P-2013)

Phillies do this deal to get younger.  Byrd was not going to be resigned and I do value Rollins but I need more help in the OF.  This also saves me cap room for next year.

Thanks Jake for the easy negotiations  :toth:

Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Philly - Edmonton Deal
« on: May 18, 2012, 02:01:52 PM »
Flyers send:

G Niklas Backstrom , $6m (2012-2013)
LW James van Riemsdyk, $1.5m (2012-2013)
D - Marc-Andre Bourdon
1st round pick 2012

for

Mikhail Grabovski, $2.9m (2012-2013)
Ryan Jones, $1.8m (2013-2014)
Sergei Bobrovsky, $2.8m (2014-2015)

Flyers agree to this deal to acquire another C.  I value Bobrovsky higher than Backstrom as I feel Bob will be traded this year and become a starter.  I also think Jones is an upgrade over JVR.  I feel its a good trade for both teams.

Franchise GM: Completed Transactions / Phillies - Rays Deal
« on: May 17, 2012, 08:57:04 PM »
After extensive negotiations for almost a week the Phillies and Rays have agreed to a deal:

Phillies send:

MI-OF Zobrist, Ben, $16.5m (2014)
PHI pays 2m in 2012, 4m in 2013, 6m in 2014

for

OF Joyce, Matt, $6.5m (2016)
P Loe, Kameron, $1.5m (2012)
OF Mahtook, Mikie, $0.5m (P-n/a)
OF Cone, Zach, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Phillies are proud to agree to this deal as we hope we grab a few OF's of the future.  If one of the prospects pan out we will be very happy with the deal.  Zobrist scores big in this format and his position eligibility was a plus but we feel this deal will help offset the loss this year with Joyce and set up the Phils for the future with some prospects.

Mike, it was a long long process lol.  Thanks for sticking it out  :toth:  Rays to confirm.

Franchise GM: Completed Transactions / Phillies - Marlins Deal
« on: May 17, 2012, 12:10:29 AM »
Phillies receive:

CI Liddi, Alex, $1m (2013)
MIA pays 1m in 2012
SP Lowe, Derek, $4.5m (2012)
MIA pays 4.5m in 2012

for

CI Lind, Adam, $12m (2013)
X-CI Lind, Adam, Cash Exchange on Contract through 2012, $-12m in 2012
PHI pays 2m in 2013
P Lohse, Kyle, $1.5m (2013)
X-P Lohse, Kyle, Cash Exchange on Contract through 2012, $-1.5m in 2012

I do this deal for a young CI in Liddi.  I think he has a lot of potential.  I give up Lohse who is on a good contract to gain back some cap room next year.  Lowe will be serviceable for this year.

Thanks Samuel for the negotiations!  :toast:

  • Daddy: Why would you allow cash exchange in fantasy sports where people quit nonstop especially after doing them? Why would you have a trade committee of 7 for 2 vetoes to kill a deal? A committee made up 100% of the guys you trying to beat.
  • Daddy: Because you need it. To manipulate your outcome. There is no other reason.

  • Brent: Okay, so we have to select 5 players to keep and the other 10 go into the expansion draft.  Are the 2024 rookies part of the expansion draft or part of a rookie draft?
  • Daddy: Rookie draft

  • Daddy: Meaning if my Timberwolves had the 7th pick in real life, i would have the 9th pick b/c Seattle is #1 & Vegas #2

  • Daddy: Each team can only lose 1 player to expansion.
  • Daddy: The expansion teams should be competitive right away. Especially since in NBA LIVE we score 12 players per matchup. Not 6.
  • Daddy: Its my team vs your team. All 12 players have relevance. Only the 3 non active players on the bench wont suit up.

  • Brent: The expansion draft is 1 round?  So 30 players selected to fill 2 teams?
  • Daddy: Yes 30 picks. 1 round. Alternating picks. After pick 30 its amateur draft picks 1 & 2
    Today at 07:25:01 PM
