Ok so this is the reworked deal. Turner gives the Nats a catcher they can rotate in and out with another I’m sure they’ll acquire. Morgan fills their relief need and they get youth in Jones and Ross who will be a cheap resign coming off injury. Also I’ve eaten more money in the deal which allow the Nats to maneuver better in FA

Tigers get a young catcher who can hopefully grab the job and run with it. Phillips wasn’t going to factor long term so it’s a win win for both teams.

Kolten Wong MI position rank 27 - $4m two years
Mark Melancon RP position rank 31 - $2m two years
David Robertson RP position rank 38 - $1.5 two years
All other expiring contracts will not be renewed
