Thomas is a proven commodity relative to Liljegren with a Stanley Cup ring to boot. Both players were drafted the same year and while Liljegren went 3 spots earlier, he hasn't convinced Leafs brass he deserves a fulltime spot in the NHL, at least not yet. The picks balance this deal for us. Thanks and GL King!

Good trade for both sides but I think I like what the Blues got. Liljegren seems to be lacking the extra something to reach the NHL and might need way more seasoning in the AHL. The name Honka comes to mind when I think of Liljegren. But that's me.
