Mariners GM job is open

Due to successive PMs without a reply and a long period of inactivity, Chris "ChinMusic" has been let go by the Mariners.

This is a pretty interesting team with some decent players and prospects, I'm surprised no one has showed interest.

BTW, with the trade deadline looming, I will expedite the two-week probation period to a 10 day period so that the new Mariners GM can make some trades.

Jake's little brother has joined MLFB and has offered to fill the vacancy.  He has experience in contract leagues, so hopefully we'll see him take the offer and sign up.

Good luck with the long term pitching staff.  Could anyone imagine signing Sheets, Harden, Bedard, and Wolf to long term deals.  We need to let him active while they may be a market for three of those guys, who knows when 3 of them will be healthy together again.  Otherwise it is a decent team.

I agree with you A's....The probation is rough ( i know ) lol, but I like Colby's idea of shortening it up, especially with the ability of seattle to clear space for this off season. Theres 3 or 4 teams looking for an SP and Seattle is a good place to get one....just my thought..... I mean he has experience so Id let him roll with it.

Everyone, welcome Matt Douglas (dougy12) as the new GM of the Mariners.  As I told him, we usually have two-week probation periods in which you cannot declare any moves until such point, but with the trade deadline coming up, I have decided to change it to a one-week probation period.  He will be eligible to post trades on the 29th.
