I assume this may need to delay until tomorrow but figured I'd post since we have agreed in principle. 

I wasn't going to make the playoffs in this division in 2022.  The injury bug totally killed any chance to somewhat compete this year.  That being the case Darvish's value to me is moving him for the future.  DL Hall is the centerpiece.  He's a top 50 BA prospect in AAA that has a chance to hit the majors next year.  Owen Miller is a player I like.  He's probably more of a super utility in the future but he will add value with multi-position eligibility.  I am taking a gamble on Steven Matz.  He's been bad this year but has a history of some performance.  I'm hoping he can regain that in 2023 and give me two starting pitchers next year in my rotation starting next year.

Jays agree. Dealing Hall was not easy, but I was lowkey looking for another pitcher, and Darvish fits the bill and then some. Darvish is an impact pitcher who ill immediately step in and provide quality pitching while helping a fringe contender become stronger team and hopefully a playoff team. Miller was a bat the Jays liked, but pitching is more important at this juncture for Blue Jays.

The payoff here was using a Top prospect in baseball to gain cap flexibility and Top 30 SP fully paid for the rest of 2022. Dealing from a deep pitching Farm this move makes a lot of sense.
