Top 5 Goalie base salaries during the 2014-15 NHL season are:

$11million Lundqvist :NYR:
$7.5m Rask :BOS-NHL:
$7m Rinnie :NAS:
$6.8m Luongo :FLO:
$6.7m Ward :CAR-NHL:

Next yr, Sergei Bobrovsky will hit #2 on the list at $8.5million.

FNHL might need to bump up Goalie extensions for the Top 10 goalies in 2016-17 to adjust for inflation.

But we shouldn't touch extension values for other positions.

  • ldsjayhawk: @jwalker I make like 2-3 trades a year for each of my baseball teams, maybe.  I'll tell you part of the reason I don't trade.  Every trade discussion starts out with the other team wanting my top prospect regardless of what I am trading for.  I am not trading Jackson Holliday for your backup catcher who is going to play 20 games this year.
