That could make for an even busier series of FNHL off-season moves and Free Agent signings in 2018. Bidding wars would double or triple in FNHL. Wonder if the NHL GMs would be able to manage all the extra money properly?

Right! I know a few wont and I know a few really need that extra cap. There are 2 teams (Kings and Senators) that have top blue liners that want big money. July 1 should be very interesting

LA be happy if it does, it help pay Drew Doughty, in Ottawa with Karlsson is not the cap increase that very important its if Melnyk will spend to the cap or if he going to go the Ducks way as will spend to a certain amount and no more even if 5+ million below the max cap limit.

On thing Vancouver be in less FA wars next year, than was this year. Going to be a bit more tight on the budget purse, due to make sure have enough if MiLR start breaking through.

dazfoster nailed it to the fact that I would only bid on a player to a certain amount I had in mind since I had a number of spots to fill going into this past off-season's free agency. I will also continue to do so depending on the player versus my cap space but that doesn't mean I won't try at some point to over bid on a player worth owning depending on who it is.

Next off-season I only have 1 player I am definitely going to resign unless I get a trade worth doing for him and I am pretty sure everyone knows who that is. As for my other resign players nobody is a definite resign depending on how this season goes on a few players.

So as far as this possible cap relief I definitely hope it happens because it will greatly help me next season moving forward especially if any of my prospects are worth signing at some point along with any free agents.
