Armchair Fantasy Baseball: Completed Transactions / Yankees promote
« on: May 26, 2015, 08:07:24 PM »
Warner Madrigal RP. Just so I don't have an illegal lineup.

Indians receive:
David Phelps 440k (2019)

Yankees receive:
J.J. Putz 17M (2016)
Jesus Agular MiLB CLE 1B
Marco Gonzales MiLB STL SP

Yankees make this deal to continue attempting to build my minor league system. Willing to take the awful contract on Putz because I have the space and it gives me te better return. Thanks for the easy talks. Indians to confirm.

Still looking to get some depth through a few trades.  Anyone on the team can move in the right deal, but obviously being in a rebuild prospects will be very tough to trade.

I do have a few solid pieces that could help out a contender this year though.

Francisco Cervelli
Devin Mesoraco
Tim Beckham
Jayson Werth
Alex Colome
David Phelps
Jose Quintana
James Shields
Delin Betances

Giants get:
Mike yastrzemski of spec
Dace Kime SP spec
Tyler Austin OF spec

Yankees get:
Andy dirks of 1.625 2015
James shield sp  22m  2017
Kyle kubitza 3b spec
Aaron judge of spec

Yankees and Giants have reworked the deal to exclude Worth since he is not eligible to be traded yet.

Yankees confirm. Hopefully this is the start of many deals in what seems to be the rebuild of all rebuilds. Shields is very expensive, but will provide me with a solid starter for the next few years with Kubitza and Judge being my real targets as I see both having big upside. I signed Werth in hopes of being able to trade him and it worked out rather quickly. Thanks to the Yankees for the easy negotiations!

Armchair Fantasy Baseball: Archives / Re: New York Yankees - Trade Block
« on: February 27, 2015, 11:19:27 PM »
Ok. So I'm realizing after thinking about what I'm likely to get back in deals that I'm not going to have any longterm success if I trade my prospects for spare parts. So I'm going to do my best to put a lineup together, but I'm not going to be making any deals with old, overpayed guys who are past their prime as the main return.

Anyone is still on the block and I'm willing to take back a bad contract or two to improve my return, but the kind of deals Id be looking to make would be a deal where a contender needs to upgrade and is wiling to deal their lesser piece and prospects for my better piece.

Sorry this is so long  :bla: :puke:

Looking to acquire any draft picks that people will move or aren't intending to use.
