C Brian Boyle, $1.7m (2013-2014)
G Jack Campbell, $m (P-n/a)

:WAS-NHL: gives

C Marcus Johansson, $0.9m (2012-2013)
X-D John Carlson, , $0m this year
D Dmitri Orlov, $0.2m (P-2013)
G Braden Holtby, $m (P-n/a)

I do this deal to get much younger.  I love Holtby and think he will be a top 10 fantasy G in the next 2-3 years.  I didn't like giving up Boyle, but like the return.  Thanks Brian.

I confirm.

I am happy to improve at RW with Peverley and get a good solid center in Boyle.  Giving up Holtby is tough but hopefully Campbell can be close to him, all be it a couple years behind him.

Approve only due to the 4.6m extension on Carlson. Calgary is killing here. Goalie switch are about equal but will see a quicker return from Holtby. Johansson and Orlov are two young guns on Washington. Boyle is a decent fantasy producer and Peverley is as well but the potential that is coming to :CLG: is way greater than :WAS-NHL: but it is still approval-able due to the extension value on Carlson.

like drew said the huge ext for Carlson makes it approvable IMO

Carlson wasn't going to be resigned so I was happy to get something for him.

I know Orlov and Holtby could be good players but I don't find it fun to manage potential, I want players that can help me win next season. RW and injuries really hurt me this past year so I am trying to shore that up.
