Position and Prospect Year Cleanup
« on: October 25, 2011, 01:47:11 PM »
Please post any issues with your roster that are not correct.  Positions need to be checked, remember 25 games at a position (CI = 3B + 1B, etc.).  Also Please check prospect year, if the player passed 50 games or 40 innings pitched, they will be P-2014 and have three (3) years remaining on the contract.

Just curious, what's the criteria for losing eligibility in a given position?

25 games need to have been played during the last season.  The player will also have the opportunity to gain eligibility by playing 25 games at a new position in 2012.

Here is a complete list of players by position played, Rob, I think you can just merge this onto your file.

Thank you sir, helpful tool.  I have been using Yahoo or Baseball Reference.  Will still have to use Baseball Reference for minor leaguers.

  • ldsjayhawk: @jwalker I make like 2-3 trades a year for each of my baseball teams, maybe.  I'll tell you part of the reason I don't trade.  Every trade discussion starts out with the other team wanting my top prospect regardless of what I am trading for.  I am not trading Jackson Holliday for your backup catcher who is going to play 20 games this year.
