Los Angeles - The Dodgers placed right-hander Josh Beckett on the 15-day disabled list due to a left groin strain.
Beckett said he tweaked his groin covering first base in the third inning of his start Monday against the Nationals. The veteran was removed from the game after allowing four runs in three innings. Beckett is 0-5 with a 5.19 ERA in eight starts.
Beckett is the ninth pitcher to spend time on the disabled list this year for the Dodgers. (via MLB.com)
