I like all 4 awards. I think we can all take the "harsh" criticism of these "awards". And if someone is up for one of these awards, i'm pretty sure they should know it was a bad trade/signing to start.
I can take criticism, but I refuse to earn a nomination for a trade that I believe is a solid deal. Heck, I wouldn't of cared if I got one for the deal I made moving Kesler for two guys I wound up tossing to the side (which is a MUCH worse deal in the long run than any of the deals nominated.)If you really want to keep the worst/best trade award and a worst/best signing award, you need to make it easier for everyone to access this information instead of having to shift through pages to find something. Because I guarantee you that we could of found a worse trade (my Kesler deal) AND potentially a worse signing.
This is one of my biggest problems with it. It is nearly impossible to look at every transaction and determine which one is actually the best/worst.
Which is why I feel these awards should be abolished. It is impossible.
If we chose to abolish the awards I maintain that the discussion is fun. An open forum best/worst trade debate should be hosted every season in lieu of the award. (This way I get to poke fun at my own trades.)
