The demolition of the 2012 Reds is more or less complete...

The Reds agree to send
C Doumit, Ryan, $4m (2013)
+3 mil being paid by whoever (think Mets)


Yanks send
MI Giavotella, Johnny, $0.5m (P-n/a)
P Smyly, Drew, $0.5m (P-n/a)

As far as I can tell, Johnny G was never on the NYM (he is on their ProFSL roster). He was traded from the Rays to Yanks as part of the Morneau deal on 5/16. That is the last movement of said player.


Everyone knows my love affair for Johnny G...one day the Royals will let him play. Smyley is a nice filler arm. Would have kept Doumit around but Belt and Ramos will be anywhere I can play him next season. Thanks OU.

The Reds need to drop 2 players.  They are getting 2 for 1 in this trade.  Luke Bailey is also listed on their PROFSL EDR roster but is not elegible since he was traded from the Rays.
