Likewise, the minimum standards apply to future years of an extension.  For example, Kenny Lofton is the 11th ranked OF in 2011 (wouldn't that be something) which means he must be paid $12m.  Let's say his existing contract is $5m (2012).  The minimum years for a $12m deal is 3 years and the max is 5 years.  The overall max term limit of a contract is five years after the current year.  Lofton can be given a 4-year $36m extension starting in 2013, so he will be paid $5m in 2011, $5m in 2012, $12m in 2013, $12m in 2014, $12m in 2015, and $12m in 2016.

Same concept I want 3 year extension after current year but high salary doesn't raise till after current salary is up think I have it right now thanks  for pointing out mistake

I believe the P would go away.

Wood would be 0.5m in 2012

Then be 4m from 2013, 14, 15, 16, 17.

Prospect extensions must be for 5 years and a minimum of 4m.

I fixed it and .5 stays for 2 years left 1.5 is for extra 2 years extended

Paul is correct, However Wood loses his prospect eligibility since you have signed him to an extension...

I knew he lost his prospect elgibility just making sure I got contract amount per year correct, keeping the .5 for remainder and the 1.5 was for 2 of the 3 years.
