Grades: [Score, Batting, Pitching]

Week 16 Power Rankings
1) :MIL: - (14-1) [99.13%/A/A] -
2) :NYY: - (11-4) [95.00%/A/A] - Burnett's an idiot
3) :PHI: - (9-6) [92.30%/A-/A] - Kazmir adds depth and more points (although mediocre) (3)
4) :STL: - (11-4) [92.06%/A/B] - Reds are still only two back in wildcard (-1)
5) :OAK: - (11-4) [91.87%/A-/A](-1)
6) :LAD: - (11-4) [91.57%/A-/A-](-1)

14) :CHW: - (9-6) [80.96%/B/C+] - Biggest win over the year by beating Reds.  Team has pitching holes and no CI support. (1)

Yep, I'll adjust the rankings for next week on that one.

And thanks to my most hated Yankee going on the DL, I have another starter... Sergio Mitre welcome to the rotation for the next 5 weeks  :taco:

You continue to move my team around... understandable considering my moves and injuries.  However, the Angels are 10-5 now and are only one back from the Yankees in the wildcard and A's in the West!

Mike's bold playoff predictions...

:MIL: vs. :ATL:
:LAD: vs. :CIN:

Both the Reds and Cards have slipped as of late and the race is the same.  Now, the Reds have Werth in the mix and the Card's Morneau has a concussion.  The Reds have all of the ability to take the wildcard.

The Braves are only one back from the Phillies, who are old in many places, hurt in others, or lack the experience and talent in others.  Trading Werth is a gamble on the rest of the season that may hurt them.

:TOR: vs. :DET:
:OAK: vs. :NYY:

The Yankees are currently in the wildcard lead and will stay there as this team is very, very old.  I am waiting for one of those three eastern squads to make a move, but I suspect the incoming Yankees GM will do something.

The Tigers look better and better each week.  The Angels have gained some ground on the A's, but I can't see that team catching Oakland.

:MIL: vs. :CIN:

I would not be surprised that the NLCS comes down to the Central division.   It's the Brewers to lose though.

:TOR: vs. :NYY:

Likewise, the AL East is loaded and the home-field advantage in these series could go both ways.

:MIL: vs. :TOR:

I like the younger guys that the Blue Jays have.  This team is very under-rated and I bet their players do better than most other team's older vets in September.

I still think the Brewers are the best though...

WS CHAMP 2010 ??? :MIL: ???

I agree with Mike, Daniel has put together one hell of a team north of the border. If I had to vote for GM of the year I would be very hard pressed to choose between the Paul  :STL: and Daniel  :TOR:.

I would say Daniel, no offense Paul. Daniel has done it without the household names the Cards have.

My vote will be for either Rob :OAK: or Daniel :TOR:.  FYI to all of you rookies, Ben :MIL: was voted as GM of the Year in 2009.

Interesting matchups this week...

My predictions
:MIL: over :ATL:
:PHI: over :BAL:
<-- this gives two game lead for Phillies
:CIN: over :NYY:
:BOS: over :NYM:
:TOR: over :TB:
<-- puts Blue Jays into driver's seat for AL East and tied Yankees and Red Sox
:TEX: over :STL:
:OAK: over :DET:
:LAD: over :CLE:
:SF: over :CHW:
<-- keeps AL Central standings the same, Reds need this type of outcome to put them within one of the NL Wildcard
:PIT: over :KC:
:HOU: over :COL:
:ARZ: over :WAS:
:LAA: over :FL:
:SD: over :SEA:
:CHC: over :MIN:

The Rays-Blue Jays, Yankees-Reds, and A's-Tigers series are the big ones here.
