I move a few pieces I planned on upgrading in Joe and Caratini. Not sure how Carter is going to come back as he struggled with the bat a bit with the injury. I was open to moving Baez when I am getting Betts. I will have an outfield of Betts/Harper/Yelich/Nimmo/Margot/McNeil so my outfield is set. I also pick up a young SP that has showed some promise. I had to include a spec to get that cap help for the next few years. Good discussions and good luck @ White Soxs

Wsox agree this was a tough trade exspecially giving up betts but i need to work on my position players and im hopeing this trade does it. I feel that i can fill the whole point wise in of during fa. I add a 1st base in connor joe wich will fill debth on my team and baez will help my team in long run. I still believe if kieboom staus healthy he can score me some points. Caratini will add catching debth to my team. I covered 8m for 3yrs for 1 reason ben brown. This kid in what i seen can be a #2 sp for the cubs within next 2 yrs. He has amazeing fastball and can throw strikes. In 56 games he pitch so far in minors he has  261 k's

Place Caleb Smith in minors if he passes through waivers

Posted in transactions but after the pm that was sent out putting it here to so it is correct. Doing this to make the roster have enough space on the 38 man post trade

Note: I disagree with this trade. While not veto worthy, the 36M in cap money included in the trade makes it a very unbalanced trade. There is a lot of risk involved for the team trading away Betts to also be paying down Betts' salary. While a rebound by Baez and a healthy Kieboom could prove to provide similar value as Betts, this could also be a dud of a trade. Very reminiscent of Colorado trading Arenado to the Cardinals while paying down a large portion of his salary.
